Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s deadstock never-used kimono fabric from bolt; From maker as undyed kimono fabric intended for making woman's kimono.

Fabric Description: Undyed off-white light-medium weight fabric, has interwoven designs of Japanese field of grass (wave quality) throughout with diamond-shaped figures (2.5inches/6.4cm) at the longest dimension placed in pairs randomly; diamond figures have flowers within them; These designs are interwoven, in relief, and slightly textured; these patterns were intended for being dyed to make a woman's kimono; fabric has a light sheen on one side and slight drape; this is a good quality silk.

Recommended for dyeing by textile artists, making scarf or accessories.
