Fabric History/Pedigree: Deadstock kimono silk pieces (unused from another time).

Fabric Description: Very lightweight, sheer translucent summer silk of what is called a 'Ro" weave - we call it 'skip-stitched' as there are gaps in the weft stitching, rendering a lateral pinstripe effect, making the fabric breatheable; this is a 1980s silk for a woman's summer kimono with light tan background color with red single-lined hanging branches with simple leaves; also, there are uchiwa (summer festival fans) in dark red, dark-turquoise, and dark pink placed randomly; within the uchiwa fans there are different flowers and blossoms (Please view our closeup pictures); Fabric is slight sheer, see-through; print designs on one side, visible on reverse; minimal sheen, very slight textured to the touch.
