Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Fine lightweight 1960s silk kimono fabric, translucent, the background color is grayish-blue, with the designs a darker hue of the same gray-blue; Motif is of a bamboo grove with stalks and leaves with some white accents, and silver threading representative of ground fog at a few places where metallic silver is brocaded laterally; the pattern described is for the front of the fabric, but it is lightly visible on reverse;
