Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Lightweight 1970s tsumugi silk fabric,  very slightly translucent fabric; background color is solid moss-green throughout; note however this distinct weave, with intentional nubs protruding randomly, giving the silk a more textured feel;Same on both sides; stiff, little drape.
Recommended for making scarf, quilters and sashiko.
