Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s silk fabric was originally intended to make a woman's ceremonial kimono. Exceptional quality/condition deadstock (unused).

Fabric Type:   lightweight silk, soft, very slightly translucent fabric with background  interwoven with decorative 4 inches/10.16 cm diameter orbs and lines(flowing water); Most of the front foreground motif orbs are in overlapping pairs; motif is of bright color designs;  print on one side but mostly visible on the reverse (see our last image above showing front and reverse); Orbs are replete with multiple flowers, as well as open uchiwa fan: also note the rounded cranes, bridges, verandahs, etc.; other small groups of flowers are randomly placed -- Please see all close-ups; Colors used in motifs are from most of the spectrum, with pinks, fuschia, blue & orange-red dominating; overall bright & bold presentation; slight drape.

Suitable for making scarf or accessories, or even framing and display.
