Fabric History/Pedigree: Deadstock pieces from partial roll, 1980s print silk.

Fabric Description: The fabric is lightweight, the background is a solid burgundy color , 3 inches / 7.62cm on both sides; the print-patterned area is 8.25 inches / 20.95 cm in 2 conjoined columns, this panel is centered with classic designs(retro) including the following: Lilies of the Valley, cherry blossoms, hydrangea, maple leaves, and old-style bamboo fence (all these are stylized in a familiar classic fashion, using patterns and designs common pre-1960s); Also, note the mock-shibori dots used to render designs; Colors used in designs: black, soft-white/tan, various shades of moss-green, olive to light pastel olive green hues, dark mottled purple, moss-greens, purple, gray, brown; the fabric is slightly textured, almost a chirimen; Print on one side, but somewhat visible on reverse;
