Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Fine, very lightweight(almost sheer) translucent silk is a 1960s piece from a woman's summer kimono (This is NOT Ro silk, just extremely fine silk threads); the fabric background is dark- blue with an interwoven background of large peonies throughout; The peonies have a sheen, rest of background does not; Colors of the plum blossoms on branches are white with brown - dark plum color branches; designs on one side only; slightly textured where the peonies are interwoven; since this is so light the drape is negligible.

Colors: Please consider our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast differ on different devices.

Recommended for making scarf/accessories.

Condition: Excellent.
