Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Description: This is fine, softer lightweight silk with a dark-brownish black background fabric from a woman's kimono; The fabric is interwoven with a very subtle geometric grid (barely visible); Design is stylized plum blossoms in white,copper-red to peach, and pink hues; also there are random white dots between some of the flowers; All blossoms are 1.5 inches/38.1mm or less; Design on one side; smooth and soft to the touch.
Recommended for making scarf/accessories.
