Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960s kimono silk fabric pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Lightweight Japanese silk; very slightly translucent, peach-pink solid background; designs on one side: this distinctive motif is of cascading elongated bunches of flowers on vines, mostly typical traditional chrysanthemums and other flowers along curly vines running lengthwise(Down); Largest blossoms are just under 1.5 inches/38.1mm; colors used for the designs: black, grays, & white with flowers  colored in oranges, yellows, and burgundy-reds; Please see close-ups; slight drape and fairly soft to the touch.

Suitable for making scarf/accessories.
