Fabric History/Pedigree: 1970s kimono silk fabric pieces received from a traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Lightweight; textured due to interwoven geometric maze patterns(A classic Japanese theme), more visible on reverse; designs on the front side; the background is black with a very stylized, modernistic rendering of thin branches with small blossoms; lines are white and the colors of the blossoms are red, brown, gold, darker and lighter blues, green, white, and a sort of orange-gold; Please see close-ups; minimal drape.
