Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's fabric from kimono pieces  from an Arai Hari (special Japanese kimono cleaner -- see info on Arai-Hari HERE from John Marshall, expert on Japanese textiles .)

Fabric Description Details:

This type of silk is derived from a nagajuban (under-kimono) for women, it is only slightly translucent and has a nice drape and slight sheen within the background spaces but the designs and lines are shinier; motif is interwoven design of traditional chrysanthemums with large-scale curlicue branches; flowers are 3.75 inches(9.53cm) diameters; Fabric color is a pale tan with a hint of light peach, slight gradation shifts in color; The design is same, intended for one side, but almost same on the reverse.

Great for making scarf, or accessories.
