Fabric Description: This 1930s-1950s kimono silk is a lightweight fabric, slightly translucent; Background color is dark purple at first glance, but in brighter light and close-up the weave of slightly different shades of dark purple vertical 3/8th inch (9.53mm) wide bands; (Tech note: We were unable to capture this effect very well in our images, but note it FYI) The arrangement of  4 inches (10.16cm) tall, off-white plus-signs(+) are more commonly seen in cotton kasuri designs; these rows of plus signs stagger in array vertically; Motifs are same on both sides (Please see close-ups).

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.
