Fabric History/Provenance: Pieces derived from deadstock 1980's under-kimono (nagajuban) silk roll.

Fabric Description: This is lightweight silk originally for use in making an under-kimono (nagajuban); the fabric is a gradation mix of off-whites, soft pale pink, and pale yellow background -- colors are in subtle gradations; the design motif is classically rendered large chrysanthemums, bamboo leaves, Japanese maple leaves, roses, and plum blossoms -- a most distinctive motif; the fabric is smooth to the touch and has a sheen.
