Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s to 1950's kimono silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Type:  Lightweight & slightly translucent silk; designs on one side but mostly same on back; the background is a rouge red color with designs in soft-cream color;  Motifs are a classic komon array of many small-scale items filling the fabric, including  'Uchide No Kozuchi' treasure/lucky mallets*, scrolls, hats, mon (family crests), various children's toys, and some we do not recognize 😀; (You can learn about *kozuchi on Wikipedia HERE.)

Colors: Please consider our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast differ on different devices.

Condition: Excellent.
