Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Lightweight, minimally translucent 1980s silk for woman's kimono with dark-green color background which is interwoven a symmetrical grid of zig-zag bands running laterally, a thatched effect (see close-ups);  A few  3 inch /  7.62 cm diameter chrysanthemums scattered randomly; color of these flowers is a mix of brown and tan; One side only; this fabric is smooth and slight sheen, minimal drape.
