Fabric History/Pedigree:  Deadstock cotton from a roll, a type of cotton used for making summer kimono called yukata, for daily summer wear; This bears the kanji (Japanese character) name of the Tatsunami Stable, home of recently-retired (late in 2021) Yokozuna (#1 top-ranked Sumo wrestler) Hakuho. To learn more about Tatsunami Stable please visit their fan page HERE; The kanji Tatsunami means "Standing Wave" literally.

Fabric Description: Lightweight cotton originally intended to make a daily-wear kimono (yukata); This piece is white, with dark indigo-blue color background with white designs of vertical bands of classic waves with striped bands equally spaced betwen them; Fabric is same on both sides; fabric slightly stiff, will soften with washing.
