Item Details and Description

Fabric History/Pedigree: 1990's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk (synthetic); (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).

Fabric Description: Japanese vintage light-medium weight mock-silk kimono fabric originally intended to make a woman's everyday kimono; the background color is a peach color with some subtle gradations caused by the speckled effect and the tiny specks which run throughout; this fabric also has slight sheen; This distinctive design has very tiny blue flowers, as well as sporadic flower clusters (largest is 2 inches / 5.08 cm at longest dimension); these flower designs are quite modern, stylized (Please see closeups); flowers colors are blue, light-green; Fabric has crepe texture,a mock-chirimen, as well as an increased textured feel caused by the interweaving process; Design and coloring described are only on the front.

Colors: Please use our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric due to differences in contrast and color on different devices.
