Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s to 1950's kimono silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Lightweight translucent silk; designs on one side; the background is gray color with designs in dark cranberry(dark fuschia?) and black; Motif is a common design of large family crests (mon) that run in alternating singles and pairs (see close-ups); Designs on one side.
