Fabric Description: Japanese vintage wool kimono fabric used to make woman's kimono; deadstock (old but never used, taken from a roll).
Light-medium weight wool, slight drape; Japanese wool is smoother and tighter weave than many Western worsted types of wool. (Interesting discussion of the term worsted wool is here.
Motifs: This a print on one side, red color background with vine-like design composed of stylized butterflies; designs are in white with intermittently placed black (butterflies), one side only.
