Item Details and Description

Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make women's everyday kimono; background of the fabric is a hard-to-describe mottled mix of browns and dark rust colors; there are also irregular shapes rendered using tiny dark gray lines (barely discernible even in closeups); Motifs are very small (under 1 inch/25.4mm) of classic designs of peaches and bamboo leaves, as well as flowers; the fabric is a chirimen, a crepe type silk, slightly textured to the touch; some drape; designs on one side only.
Recommended for making scarf or accessories.
If purchasing multiple yards, the fabric is sent in an uncut piece; to purchase roll (12yds/11m) please contact us for discount pricing.
