Fabric Description: Deadstock never used, Japanese vintage kasuri (ikat) cotton fabric;
Fabric Type: Kasuri (ikat), Light-Medium Weight, still firm, slightly translucent; dark indigo background(almost black); This is a traditional ikat pattern with light aqua-blue and gray-blue fuzzy figures rendered in a diagonal arrangement of 1 inch (25.4 mm) tall geometric(plus-signs) figures that alternate with slightly curving bands; same on both sides.

This is an unused Japanese country vintage fabric called kasuri (also called ikat in Southeast Asia; ) ; Kasuri is a labor-intensive process where patterns are made by pre-dyed paste resistance and varying techniques used to create the sorts of patterns seen here.
