Fabric History/Pedigree: 1970's, found in a batch of liner and other fabrics in bolts and rolls; Deadstock, unused, still in original bindings and label.

Fabric Type: This is a Japanese-spun wool muslin and is light-weight but tightly woven, smoother than worsted wool in the West; Designs are a full background of small-scale lattice composed of 1 inch/ 25.4 mm diamond (rhombus) shapes aligned in even diagonal rows; designs are what look like heart shapes(or blossom petals) within each diamond shape; colors of the hearts alternate from bright red to pink; The lines of the design are dark red and composed of double dashes and starburst patterns at junctions (see close-ups); Fabric is soft-white background, same on both sides. 

Condition:  Excellent, aged but clean, and 100% usable.
