Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Fine lightweight silk of ro  type (thin and translucent, we call it 'skip-stitched' laterally), originally intended to make a woman's summer kimono; background color is hard to describe: a pale pastel green with hint of blue/gray; Motif is a rather distinctive one -- suzume birds(Tree Sparrow/Passer Montanus) and bamboo branches and leaves in dark, almost-navy blues and whites;  same on both sides.

Note on colors: As all devices have differing coloration, please use our text descriptions of colors to complement your sense of the color of the fabric.

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.

Condition: Excellent.
