Item Details and Description
Fabric History/Pedigree: 1990's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk (synthetic) of Ro summer type weave; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage very thin, translucent, lightweight mock-silk kimono fabric originally intended to make a women's everyday summer kimono; This is Ro weave, a sort of skip-stitch used for summer clothing; the background is a light pastel creamy-green with many type traditional Japanese floral motifs in soft-whites, and the flowers within thin-line edged rectangles of different sizes (so not a checkerboard look); some of the flowers have accents in a light pale salmon color.
If purchasing more than one piece, sent in uncut lengths.
