Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's fabric, deadstock (like new, never used from another era) for use in making silk kimono; 100% Japanese silk; Received as partial bolt; designs shown are continuous.
Fabric Type: Light-medium weight dark-peach-colored silk originally for use in making nicer woman's kimono; Full designs are interwoven with front side having sheen where the interweaving designs are located; almost same on reverse but no sheen; Designs are interwoven into alternating symmetrical rows of 3 inch (7.62cm) octagons forming a grid; also other small squares as well as flowers at the center of octagons; fabric has a good drape; Suggested for making scarf or accessories.
