Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's fabric, deadstock (like new, never used from another era) for use in making silk kimono; 100% Japanese silk; Received as bolt; designs shown are continuous. Label titles this fabric as "Beauty of the Four Seasons".
Fabric Type: Light-medium weight peach colored silk originally for use in making nicer woman's kimono; Full designs are print, with classic asa leaves(hemp) geometric line fields as well as geometric hexagonal shapes as thatch work background design in other side; Many different flowers-- each differently decorated; also ornately decorated fans, many with metallic gold accents; Colors of the various designs include: mauve, tan, gold, white, grays, light, and darker colonial blues.
