Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s pieces derived from deadstock roll of Japanese silk (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used.)

Fabric Description: lightweight fabric originally used to make woman's under-kimono (nagajuban) or kimono liner; slight sheen, nice drape, good for making scarf, accessories or for textile art dyeing; high grade Japanese silk; interwoven classic designs throughout, including: chrysanthemums, peonies, Wisteria, royal flower cart and clouds; and visible on both sides.

Colors: Background is very slightly off-white; We have intentionally altered exposure of close-up photos to better reveal the interwoven patterns, color is an off-creamy white.

Condition: Excellent.
