Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s pieces derived from deadstock roll of Japanese silk (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).

Fabric Description: lightweight fabric originally used to make liners or  woman's under-kimono (nagajuban); Motifs interwoven on both sides are background of web of 1.5 inches (38.1 mm) wide hexagonal shapes with three-pronged geometric 3 inches (7.62 cm) across shapes in alternating rows;  Color is mostly off-white with gradations of pale pink with a few spots of gradation pale yellows; nice drape, good for making scarf, accessories or for textile art dyeing;
