Fabric Description: Lightweight silk, originally intended to make a woman's kimono; This is a distinctive fabric piece from the 1960s; the background is off-white but fabfric is mostly full of designs of large-sized chrysanthemums rendered in varying ways; considerable edging accent in metallic silver and some gold; the fabric is interwoven with classic lines of streams (visible only in the white backgrounds); Motifs are predominantly orange to dark red for the flowers, with other designs in light blue, dark blue, yellow, dark green and colonial-blues; see close-ups; Designs are on one side but slightly visible on reverse; there is no sheen (aside from metallics) and the fabric has minimal drape.

Note on colors: As all devices have differing coloration, please use our text descriptions of colors to complement your sense of the color of the fabric.
