Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  1930s-1950s piece of lightweight, translucent summer fabric called ro, a sort of skip-stitched weave; dark coral-blue background; nice drape, patterns on one side; Motifs are of off-4.5 Inches(11.43 cm) white circular shapes with multiple types of flowers within; also, there are itomaki (traditional Japanese wooden spools) in light tan; Note also smaller flowers scattered about the background; also, there are eight fine metallic single silver and gold lines spaced in parallel, all running lengthwise and a few thin white fine lines curving lengthwise; colors used in the designs include: cranberry-red, varying green shades, mustard, tans and off-whites.
