Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Description: Lightweight silk originally intended to make a woman's kimono; This is a 1960's fabric piece which is a dark colonial-blue background color, motif is of clover leaves in foreground with cursively-shaped leaves (resemble ribbons) background; Colors of clover leaves are off-white, light cranberry and off-white; Other colors: dark cream-blue; the cursive leaves also have off-white borders; Design on one side, faintly visible on the reverse; only slight drape.
