Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Light-weight silk originally intended to make a woman's under-kimono (nagajuban); This is a higher quality and fine, slightly translucent silk fabric piece with a background of solid dark plum color with interwoven designs throughout; motifs are classic designs of peonies, peaches and geometrics;  same on both sides; areas with designs have sheen.

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.
