Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from 1950s deadstock roll of boy's ceremonial kimono fabric; deadstock is older, just never used
Fabric Description: Lightweight silk originally intended to make a boy's ceremonial kimono; This is a higher quality 1950's silk fabric piece with a background of deep blue with off-white cloud designs in background; Classic theme for boy's ceremonial: samurai mounted on horse in full battle regalia, also, samurai's kabuto (warrior's headgear) as well as drums, round crests with designs within(open fan, flowers), and samurai's battle quiver and arrow; also, tassels; Colors of the designs include: whites, tan, gray, multiple greens, browns and black; this is print fabric so designs on one side, but visible on reverse; no sheen; slight drape.
