Fabric Description: Lightweight silk originally intended to make a woman's kimono, very slightly translucent; This is a 1950's fabric piece with a background of unusual color which seems a combination of burgundy and plum with a hint of brown;  the  distinctive motifs are of stylized iris flowers in early stage of blooming; Fabric is textured, resembling a chirimen texture (but is not); lines of the iris flowers are white, black and lavender; some tiny metallic brocade threads in places; design on one side, with reverse coloring at back; fabric has nice drape for such a light fabric; slight sheen

Recommended for making scarf or accessories.
