Item Details and Description
Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk (synthetic); (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage mock-silk kimono fabric originally intended to make a women's kimono; background is soft-white with pale light blue tint; designs are of hydrangea flowers and branches as well as the sort of lines seen in batik textiles, thus this is a mock-batik; other colors are light to colonial blues, moss green, mauve; fabric has no sheen but only slight drape; If purchasing more than one piece, sent in uncut lengths; great for scarf or accessory-making.
