Item Details and Description
Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk (synthetic); (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage mock-silk kimono fabric originally intended to make a women's kimono; background is black with classic designs of maple leaves and branches in shibori-print pattern (print, not actual tie-dyed); other colors are dark salmon and off-white; sold in 2 yard lengths; fabric is woven with lateral ragged striated lines, so fabric has a slightly textured touch, no sheen but good drape; If purchasing more than one piece, sent in uncut lengths; great for scarf or accessory-making.
Condition: Excellent.
