Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Lightweight and partially translucent silk is a pinkish-salmon (gradations) color background with a full field which is interwoven throughout that is apparently floral, but also has a dappled, sort of speckled look on one side; therefore textured on front; very slight sheen also on front only; Fabric originally for making an under-kimono (nagajuban); nice quality silk, some drape; good for making scarf or accessories.
