Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980s silk fabric piece received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Originally used in making woman's kimono; Very distinctive silk has motifs done using brocaded metallic silvers and golds for the leaves themselves. Colors: very pale peach color fabric background with burnished color silver, gold, pink,and burgundies in the brocades. This pattern is on one side and brocade threads visible on reverse; no sheen, nice drape; last few images are of the reverse brocade work.
Also suitable for framing.
Condition: Excellent. for age; clean.
