Fabric History/Pedigree: 1970's 2 yards pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk fabric ; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage mock-silk kimono fabric used to make everyday women's kimono; fabric is light-weight with slightly textured surface; design is a mock-shibori (looks like but is NOT tie-dyed shibori) on dark brown background with rectangular shapes lain out in parallel rows; motif colors used are brown and tans with slight sheen.
