Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono cotton; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make everyday women's kimono; fabric is light-weight with very slightly chirimen (crepe) surface; Background is full on both sides with what appear to be a field of falling leaves or blossoms, the parts are tiny but fill the whole fabric; the tiny figures of the leaves (or whatever) have sheen, but background does not, very interesting effect; Fabric looks different depending on lighting and angle of view.fabri is a rusty-red in several hues of same(see close-ups); Colors differ on different devices so please use our text color descriptions to complement pictures.
