Fabric History/Pedigree: 1950's silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Lightweight silk is a cream color (with touch of light peach) background with ornate flowers and vines in parallel rows running vertically the full length of the fabric; This pattern is on one side only, but faint shadow of patterns and colors visible on reverse; design colors: gradation shades of dark-lavender to light purple; Note that colors differ on different devices so please use our text descriptions to complement our images; fabric is very slightly textured, no sheen, slight drape; good for making scarf or accessory.
