Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono cotton; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make everyday women's kimono; fabric is light-weight smooth surface but no sheen;; Print on one side is of 3.75 inches (9.53cm) blocks in checkerboard layout; Each block has ornate floral designs (see close-ups); There are interwoven curving lines running lengthwise but these can only be seen on reverse or upon extreme close-up of front; fabric is background of off-white with block design colors done in dark-chocolate, lighter chocolate (Hershey?).
When purchasing more than one yard, sold in single uncut length.
