Fabric History/Pedigree: 1980's pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono mock-silk (synthetic); (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage mock-silk kimono fabric of type called 'ro' (thin, a skip-stitch weave) originally intended to make women's summer nagajuban (under-kimono); see close-up to see the thin lateral pin-stripe thickness lateral lines; there is selvedge on each side without the ro stitching; the fabric is solid off-white.
