Fabric History/Pedigree: 1950's silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Lightweight silk is a black background with tiny pixels in off-white throughout; Changes in the color of the pixels renders large flowers(rose) running the length; these designs can only be fully seen from an oblique angle, an interesting effect; fabric is smooth, no-sheen but has a nice drape; nice to make scarf or accessory.
