Item Details and Description
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage wool kimono fabric used to make woman's kimono; deadstock (old but never used, taken from a roll).
Fabric Type: Light-medium weight wool, slight drape; Japanese wool is smoother and tighter weave than many Western worsted types of wool. (Interesting discussion of the term worsted wool is here.)
Motifs: This a Bingata motif print on one side ( not the special Okinawan batik dyed type); Themes on off-white background are: bamboo, huts, pine branches, maple leaves, chrysanthemums, and plum blossoms.
Condition: Excellent.
