Fabric History/Pedigree: 1950's, pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Description: Lightweight, slightly translucent dark brown silk with tan interwoven mesh designs; probably intended for man's summer haori or kimono; The pattern of the mesh designs are composed of diamonds which are 1/2 inch (12.7mm) at longest, and rendered by tiny pixels (see last close-up above); same on both sides.
