Item Details and Description:
Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
- Fabric Description: While this seems like nagajuban fabric at first glance, the feel of the fabric is more of a light-medium weight silk, thicker than nagajuban, similar to regular woman's outer kimono fabric weight; 1960's fabric piece in red throughout with interwoven designs of large peonies with what looks like ground fog or cloud motifs; interwoven design areas have a slight sheen; nice drape.
- Condition: Excellent.
