Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Lightweight kimono silk is a 1970's piece; Fabric is a darker burgundy with motifs of butterflies and chrysanthemums in a different style rendering; Fabric is interwoven throughout with chrysanthemums and classic geometric maze-like patterns (with the embedded shrine symbol which shaped like a reverse swastika -- its original meaning in Asia for centuries is that of a symbol for shrines). Designs are in white and black interior fields; Print is one side, but can partially be seen on the reverse.

Colors: A reminder that colors differ on different devices, so please refer to our text color descriptions.

Condition: Excellent.
