Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
- Fabric Description: Lightweight silk is a 1950s only slightly translucent fabric piece in a dark chocolate (Hershey?) brown background with motifs on both sides;' motifs: kasuri-like odd geometric shapes and singular pinstripes at right-angles to each other, color burnished silver throughout; the fabric is slightly stiff, minimal drape.
