Fabric Description: Lightweight silk is a 1960s piece in a distinctive design with thin slightly waving lines running lengthwise; lines evoke an image of vertically floating seaweed underwater, or even of fresh thin willow branches; there are also what look like crests (mon) scattered a few times; The color is hard to describe: sort of a subdued lighter creamy-burgundy with a hint of light plum; Designs are on one side;
Fabric background on the front also has tiny mock-chirimen textured lines throughout (even on reverse) but fabric is only slightly textured to the touch; fabric has nice drape. see close-ups.
